Question Anyone find their build sheet?

I've been skimming BON's 2001 Cobra Board and they are finding their build sheets behind the front bumper cover, under the spare tire, etc.....I was just curious if anyone has found their build sheets on their L's and where?

I asked my dealer to keep mine for me, but he had no idea what I was referring to. Typical dealer info. If they're stashed somewhere on the truck I'm surprised no one has found one yet.

I found mine. It was tucked in the right front upper A arm mounting bracket.

Cool

Moonshine,
I did the same thing...my dealer had no idea what I was talking about. He didn't touch it as promised....my right control arm had a HUGE green "SVT" sticker on it. I took it off and put it in my L's scrapbook.

I don't know if these trucks have build sheets, if you find one, it probably means they forgot to take it out of didn't feel like throwing it away. My dad has a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible and we found his under the backseat. In that year build sheets meant nothing and I am sure they mean nothing now. On all the old classics it is the fender tag and VIN# that really tell you about the history of a car or truck. Since we are on the subject and I am interested, I think I will look for mine tomorrow!!!!!

since i work on the assembly line building mustangs and mazda 6's i can tell you we have several build sheets that we use to build a car if i had to guess it would be atleast 30-40 different sheets taped to the hood or truck so we know what parts to put on. so if you do find one its purely by mistake/overlooked. not sure if you can get a build sheet printed up or not but i have heard of a place that will reproduce your window sticker. but have no idea who or where.

Jason, call SVT about the window sticker. If they can't help, call Ford. I distinctly recall a service they offered where they will send you a new sticker.

Oh, and there's no build sheet, at least, not like the old days.

Found mine taped to the cab after we removed bed to repair a crack.
(tail lights are doners from my ranger, didn't have a way to rig the L lamps for the short trip to the bodyshop LOL)
