I've been wanting to get a MP3 for the lightning as well. I bought the Aiwa one for my work truck and I love it. One 700mb cd holds over 14 hours of music and I can pick only the good songs that I want on there. so with a visor of 12 700mb cd's I can have my entire clloection with room to spare. thats awesome. I'm going to go with the kenwood MP3 though. theres a few places that have the new Z828 for less then $540. bucks. thats a deal for that piece, plus I think I can still hook up my MD to it, but I don't think I'm going to need that anymore. I might just get the other Din size digital EQ for the other spot I have made. Basically to tune the system better. they got that piece for under $350.00. And I'm selling my cd and MD player for $600.00, so its worth it.

This is awesome, just what I was looking for, except...

Do they have it in Flat (Regular) Black? Trying to pick the least ugly plate is hard.

Thumbs down

I had the White Visteon MP3 player for a while, but wasn't impressed. No RCA outs. I would say its an improvement over the stock player, but that's it. Played MP3 discs fine, but no track information. No playlist support either.

I sent my player back, thank god for the 30 day return policy.

No preouts. I spliced a high level to RCA converter into my white face Visteon Mach MP3, and it sounds beautiful. I replaced my kenwood Z919 with the Visteon, and I like the Visteon better, because it looks like OE, and works with my CD changer. By the way, I am selling my Z919, which was used 6 months and has been back in the box for 4 months (still warranted through Crutchfield). It's listed in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
