calling all lightning experts!

hello everyone. i just got myself my second lightning. a 00 ford lightning today for $3500 (it has a salvage title). the truck runs great. need new front end, new wheels and tires. when i was driving home today i noticed a grinding noise and noticed that the supercharger cooler tank is missing!! im looking to get a replacment tank asap b4 anything, but will this work? i cant seem to find the stock one. im thinking of buying a new tank for the engine too since its really ugly.

Yes,,that will work.
But I would be more comfortable buying off ebay before I would buy ANYTHING from RPM!! They have a very bad rep!

I found a stock one for 25 bucks!!

Here's some nice tanks if you want to spend a little more money.

You can also find a lot of new and used parts here.

This is an upgrade to the stock inter-cooler tank/reservoir.
It holds more coolant then the stock one,,,keeps things cooler.

Looks like the hole inter-cooler system has been eliminated!
You'll need a heat exchanger,pump,tank and hoses.

You also have a 6 rib belt running your supercharger. It should be an 8 rib belt.

I wouldn't be surprised if your intercooler leaks once you get all the other parts of the system running. It's a 2000 and it doesn't appear to have been well cared for so it may not have had the service fix parts installed.

Good luck. 3500 is certainly a decent price.

part it out

i'd part the truck out and take the money and buy something better. That truck looks like it was in a flood. Last thing you need is electronic failures leading to engine/transmission malfunctions.

You could part that truck out and make double your money back and but something in a 99 or 00 for what you get.
