Post Flipping the chip switch?

I run a superchip. I plan on going to the track on Wed night. Help me with the best way i should do this. My race side is set for 100 octane and its about 30-40 miles to the track should i flip the switch from street to race before i leave for the track or when i get there dissconnect battery and flip switch there? I have always wanted to ask this question and never did? Any help would be great thanks

Best thing to do is unhook your battery and clear the PCM at the track and then switch. I don't think your suppose to run the track program on the street. Seems that someone said the torque convertor doesn't lockup in the race mode.
