Post Bassani exhaust?

Someone in another post listed a bassani cat back exhaust part number as m-5415ol-4 and so I went to the bassani website and no luck. They do not show a catback for the lightning.

They do show the full exhaust kit for the L and it is 5415ol-8. What is up is there a catback kit?

I know that there is really not much if any performance gain in exhaust on these trucks, but I love that sound.

Is there a reason to do the whole thing as compared to just the catback.

Thanks for your input.
Paul

Question

I've been meaning to ask this question as well... I know that Bassani makes a cat-back for the Gen2 Lightning, but it isn't on their website.

I also wanted to know, does the Bassani cat-back come with the "X" pipe like the Bassani full exhaust for the Gen2 does?

Thanks...

I have read every post I could find about the basani exhaust and no one has said why they did the complete kit as opposed to just the cat back.

If you can get the same effect (sound) with the catback as with the whole system why spend the extra grand?

Also I am trying to find the part number for the catback as the one I found listed is not on the bassani site and I cannot find another number.

Anyone with some real help please respond if you don't have anything good please disregard this post.

Thanks
Paul

It sounds like the people that get just the cat-back system get 0 performance gains, but a good sound, and the people with the full exhaust get a little performance gain...and a good sound as well

I CALLED BASSANI TODAY and asked for the cat-back. she told me to go to their site, call up "the entire system" and the cat-back(including the 'x' pipe) is the pic at the top left/center of the screen. it's there. and, that is a good part no.

You are right I did find the catback system with that part number just no dashes on the racesearch site.

Now my question is it worth doing the full exhaust or should I just do the catback. I am leaning toward the whole deal I guess just because I like the quality from what I have seen.

Anyone have any thoughts on this
