I am sorry - there is a difference between an accident and just not giving a damn. If I park close enough to where I might be TOUCHING another vehicle(and this goes back to when I had my '83 Honda Accord) I get out and check. And on the occasion I have met bumpers, I back off and check for damage. If I hit someone else's vehicle, its on me, plain and simple. If someone parks their 6cyl. Mustang IN your front bumper, they are either too drunk to drive or dont give a crap. Either way, you arent going to see one red cent outta them. I remember when I had my first F-150 - it was my first brand new vehicle, and I loved it. 3 months in, I was parked at school(community college), and some POS Geo Storm had opened their door ALL THE WAY TO THE METAL on my truck, and then left without a note or anything! The angle matched, the paint swapped onto my truck matched...I was pissed. I left a good ding from my elbow on their door, but it is nothing to someone who drives a *****box already, y'know?

With this truck I have been ****. I park FAR away. I will walk an extra 3-5 minutes to avoid door dings, and so I have been pretty lucky so far, no dings, no scratches.

I tried the parking far away thing at a local movie theater when I first got my Lightning. I come out of the movie and someone parked right next to me - and it looked like someone spit all over my window and door. I wait for the owners of the other vehicle to come out, and they did, but it was just to guys with their daughters and they didnt look TOO suspicious, so I didnt say anything.

What happened after that didnt affect my truck, but as I and a few freinds were standing out there, a bronco and explorer FULL of punk teenagers drive REALLY CLOSE and the driver of the first car nails me with a hambuger. Didnt do much damage - hit me on the side and got a little mustard on my shirt, almost hit my truck...

Just shows you the level of maturity in that part of town (Willowbrook AMC 24 for those that live in north houston) you can drive 20 min up to another movie theater (Woodlands) and the people actually act civilized (no phones/talking/babies in R rated movies etc...)

Clearly, BfB has never had anything done to his L, and has no idea what if feels like when someone demonstrates complete ignorance and a lack of respect for other people's property. My truck got egged friday, and boy was i pissed. I definitely would've kicked their punk a$$es. And, yes, i probably would've written their plates down if i had seen them do it, but, that would be after i kicked the ***** out of them.

Mmmm. See, thats exactly what would **** me off. But if you get their license and call the cops as they are driving away, then they have some explaining to do.

Punk *** kids. Anyone know where they come from? I mean, exactly how bad a job did your parents for you to think that throwing your half-eaten hamburger at someone is cool/funny/safe/etc?

Does having your vehicle bumped against while trying to parallel park count? Does having your front left fender and bumper nudge count? Does having your bed scared to death by retarded Budweiser fork-lift operators count? Does having your tires slashed count?

Does having your Corvette keyed twice, tires slashed also, fender gills crushed off on the passenger side, steering column broke for an attempt to steal, and antenna broken off all count?

I follow the law and do not take things into my own hands. If I'm threatened, or a family member or friend, or even a helpless bystander, then it's a WHOLE different story. I don't retaliate by beating someone's *** for destruction of property or vandalism, nor theft, and I do not turn around and destroy their property either.

The true punk is the hot-headed bully that retaliates by whooping *** or destroying property.

PEOPLE MAKE HONEST MISTAKES, PEOPLE MAKE PURPOSEFUL MISTAKES, but it does not warranty the ole eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth revenge.

I have read most of posts regarding this issue, Theres no reason to start trouble with someone just speaking there mind, he did the right thing not acting on it.
It was probably a 80 yr old lady that can't see very well.
BfB,
If you have had all that done to your vehicle, I would begin to take it personal, it sounds like you not very well liked.
Anyway, the right thing to do would have been to call the police, especially with the vehicle resting on your bumper.
Atleast you kept your cool.

Ya I agree BfB do you cause arguments off the computer as much as you do on? Cause man, no wonder they beat up your rides so much. Time to build a garage.

LoL, no, most of this stuff happened from being in parking lots, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The keying came from an individual and his group that I had to get restraining orders against (civily as well) to keep them from coming w/in 200 feet of my nightclub.

The attempted theft came from my Corvette in my front yard. I know the person who did it, but do not know them personally nor where they live. They wanted a Vette and had no idea they couldn't get past the PATS security system.

Thats wrong man....Yesterday some kid hit my truck with a scooter and destroyed my front fender and scraped/dinged my door. Even if i caught the kid i would still know better than to give him a spanking(even though he deserves it)

Sometimes thats the way it goes. Could be worse.

LOL, BfB! Maybe you're not Jesus (as BBQ suggested); maybe you're Patrick Swazie in Roadhouse. Is your club called the "Double Deuce," by chance?

Post That Bastard Hit Me

Got my first ding this Saturday. I paid $6.00 to self park in Downtown Dallas. When I come back to get my L at about midnight I notice some 6 cylinder mustang had parked INTO my front bumper. The screws from his license plate were touching my front bumper. My friend say's "Key the bastard". I said well let's see if there is any damage. I back up the truck and my friend inspects it and says there is no mark, so we took off, without retaliation.

Of course the next morning I notice a large gash in my front bumper. Damn am I pissed. I guess I should have done the inspection myself. I should have keyed the piece of s**t Mustang for that.

Cool

BfB,

For somebody who talks so passive and Self-righteous, you sure have pissed a lot of people off. That's a lot of keying and tire cutting if you ask me.

She loves to lean on it for a better look when Barking at something,I finally broke down a got a Truck cover. No more problems.
Oh I did shorten the chain, she does it off the chain also.
