Question Yo RTKILLA. :)

You ever get the battery pair to work? How'd you do it? (remember reading something about frying the starter)

With my quest and obsession to have all HID lighting and the juice being pulled by my stereo, I'm starting to have some power issues. lol.

I was looking to drop one of this beasts in (Hawker 1700 Odessy DryCell)...I was curious how your install went? The Hawker weighs alot, but I figured I can stick it in the bed.

Did you use something like this? http://www.piranhaoffroad.com.au/pro..._isolator2.asp

pawn - do you have a farad cap hooked between your battery and amp(s?). That would help out w/ the stereo sucking juice.

Yeah... I do now. It helped the radio for the most part.

My issue right now is not being able to get enough juice to the HID's to start them without the truck being on. They pull a bit more current to fireup, and the OEM battery just can't do it captain.

Deep cycle battery?

Or how about a nice generator in the bed?

pawn:

I just removed my stock battery from the engine compartment and put two red top optima batteries under the bed in a steel box that I made. Here's a few pics of the mod that I have now.

I ran new 0 gauge wires to the front for the power and I ran the stereo 4 gauge wires to the bax and connected them to one of the other baterry terminals. I still also have two 1 farad caps in the back speaker locations also. I don't have any surges at all now.
