new member of the family
We brought home a little sister for the Lightning. We bought my wife a 2001 Mustang GT Premium Coupe.
Silver Metallic
Torque Thrust (Bullitt) wheels
Medium Graphite Leather
5-speed (the new Tremec 3650, same as 2001 Cobra and Bullitt)
My (seat of the pants meter) says it can't hang with my 2000 L, but I really like this car. Reviews list the 0-60 at 5.5 and the 1/4 at 14.0-14.1. This is not a superfast car, but it ain't no slouch either, IMHO. It doesn't kick you in the *** with torque like the L, but keep in mind that this is daily, safe transportation for my wife.
Some of my favorite things about this car:
The new 5-speed has nice feel, new ratios, higher torque rating, and a synchronized reverse.
I love the sound of the stock exhaust, I wish the Lightning sounded this good.
It's crash ratings
Traction Control
6-disc CD changer in the dash.

Thanks, My wife is really enjoying her first V8 powered car.
According to her, it has been a revelation, and she will never tolerate driving a weak 4 or 6 cylinder car again. LMAO, that is what she said!

Very nice ride.
About your wife never wanting to drive a 4 or a 6 again. My mom drove blazers, and explorers for years. UNTIL dad brought home a 302 V8 explorer. It was over from there she won'ot even look at a new V6 she wants to wait until the 4.6 L is out.
When we found out is was going to be 3 months dad wanted to get a V6 instead. She gave him an untimatum (sp?). She said either he gets her a Navigator right away or he waits until the V8s are in Canada. LOL. Needless to say he is waiting on the explorer. Our Navigator sucked back the gas big time.
Glad to hear your wife is enjoying the new car. They really look good in silver.
