Sore Losers
I went to the track last night again to work on my 60 ft. times and there was this jerk in a early 70's trans am that thought he was real bad, never seen him there before but it started when he pulled up beside me in the pre-staging lanes and kept starring at me and reving his motor alot just to get my attention so i looked over and gave him a WTF look like grow up,so after are burnouts i went on to stage and he pulled up a little and just kept reving his motor again and staring at my truck and i was thinking this moron has no clue what my truck is going to do to him.So we took off and the race was over right then i pulled him at least 15 lengths in the 1/4 he ran 14.23 to my 12.86 and i started braking just after the finish line to make the turn around at about 20mph and this idiot is still on his car trying to catch me obviously and all most rearends me and slams on the brakes skidding past the turnaround and has to back his car up just to get back on the track!People like this is what makes racing dangerous and they need to grow up and get a life!!!

You may not have but.....Jerks like that are the reason I NEVER turn from the outside lane in front of the other guy. I just stop and wait for him/her to turn off if they are on the inside.
Some tracks will ban you for the night if you turn in front of inside lane.

Every once and awhile you'll find jerks/idiots like this. When I had my '99 Cobra, another friend of mine ('95 Cobra) were leaving the track. These azzholes in a beat up old trans-am started yelling and threatening to kick my friends azz. They were yelling things (daddy's car, you little punk-azz) for absolutly no reason. Then they proceed to start throwing beer bottles in front of him trying to cut a tire. Josh wouldn't stop, I wished he would. Josh is 25 btw, I'm 29, these guys were late thirties drunk rednecks be put it nicely. Josh was packing and has a permit.
That's the only time I really felt what ROAD RAGE is. I wanted to ram thier car with mine and kick the sheit out of them. Azzholes are abundant these days.

There are several 1/8th mile tracks around the DFW area, and a number of them are "rinky-dink" and don't have a lot of rules.
However, at the NHRA sanctioned Texas Motorplex (only 1/4 mile track within 300 miles) they would have tossed that joker in a heartbeat. He would have been chastised at the starting line for sitting there revving his motor and not staging right away. That is so weak. They have officials at the end of the track who will enforce rules for safety equipment if you run under 11.99.
I get irritated b/c there are not more 1/4 mile tracks around, but at least I don't have to put up with the stuff you did.
I mean, we all go to the track to race safely and then people like this are there...and allowed to race b/c they paid some $$. At the M-plex, they don't care if you've paid your $$...you get one warning, typically...sometimes none.
Suffice it to say I don't race at the above-mentioned 1/8 mile tracks b/c they have no rules. Lots of drinking, etc, going on in the staging lanes. Cars with bumpers barely attached. Racing on the street would be safer.
Sorry to hear about your negative experience.
