Certainly you are not surprised are you? I bet intercooler leaks will approach 100% ultimately in 99 & 00 L's. I am waiting to see if the 01 truly has a fix, or there are not enough of them with enough mileage.

Get the exteneded warranty. You're going to need more than one intercooler replacement.

Concerning warranty issues with the intercooler. I called SVT and asked them point blank about leaking intercoolers and they told me that they will cover them beyong the normal warranty period. I suggest anyone who has a problem with their intercooler call SVT and get that in writing.

My second IC just started leaking! I'll documrnt it until it's very obvious, then in for repairs. This time I'll make sure they have one on the premesis before the start repairs. Last time It was down 10-11 days waiting for the IC core.

That was last February, by the way. About 9000 miles ago.

I guess I'll have to visit Tundra again.

Speedin Bob, No I didn't get it in writing. My intercooler isn't leaking yet at 16.5K miles and I am optimistic about the whole thing. Just going to wait and see.
