F150 is the safest again...
USA Today has an article about the new results from the NHTSA that says the F150 4x2 4 door is the "Best" in the offset barrier crash test (35mph)... Now we can all breathe a big sigh of relief... lol

Did I hear that right?
Does that mean that all the hype about this offset thing we have been hearing about in the last couple of weeks is BS? If so some people sure have egg on their face about getting pissy and treatening to sell all their Fords LoL... Looks good on them.
Hope I am right in assuming here or else the egg will be on MY face

Big difference though - the NHTSA is the government authority for crash testing and safety. I thought(and I may be wrong, but I think I am right) that the other report came from the Insurance Institute for Safety or some such nonsense - it was a organization that sets the insurance risk for the big insurance companies.
Which one would you trust? Scary day when I would trust the government over someone else, but look to be the case.

I believe your right BfB. I thought that they also only do front impact. Not off set. But when you think about it. The one that tests the trucks for insurance reason. It's the insurance companys that pay them for the tests. Geeze what insurance company wouldn't want the #1 selling truck to be one of the most dangerous.
