I'm not sure who's worse, the corvette guys or the F-body dudes. That is definitely a no win situation, they have it made up in there mind L's can't even compete with their superior cars. Even if they see video as proof, it still isn't good enough.
Just let them think what they want, it's much easier

Other than 1 or 2 dissenters, those guys were supporting the Lightning. I personally like it when LS1 drivers think the L is slow - it makes it that much easier to beat them.

I don't know about those C5s, but I can say that the older style vettes, like a '72 - '83, those guys actually leave a slime trail behind them...LOL

Most f-body owners actually do know what the Lightning is capable of, or at least from my experience. I'm a diehard f-body fan. I've owned three in the past 5 years, and I'm getting ready to order a 2002 Z28. I do have to agree that it's a blast running f-bodies on the street. I've yet to be beat out of the hole in the truck. 
Then again, all it takes in an LS1 automatic with some stickies and a nice, fat torque converter to leave you dry at a light. I know; I pulled low 1.5 60' times in my '98 T/A.
