The converter,well it is a definite improvement,at first I had a ton of problems was hitting the rev limiter etc. as it turned out the tranny was shot,like that's something new.Now the truck runs great very consistent,nothing earth shattering but when you see cobras and vettes, and cameros in the rear view mirror,it tells ya the set up is doing well.There are so many things to try and gets , well you know $$$$$$$...But I love the converter,I've heard there are better ones, but as long as it keeps pulling me to better times,it will do...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the convertor. I really would love to install one, but I still have not yet found one that I am comfortable with...you know?
I know PRESCISION INDUSTRIES has that 3-plate lock-up one, and PRO-TORQUE has one of their own, but in a BILLET version.
But I still feel that there is not that much information floating around for these convertors. Seems like many people have them done, but no-one wants to talk about it...weird. I know some guys are running convertors but also WAY under the 4700lb weight, unlike mine.
I'm hoping as these convertor improvements come along, people will also share some information on them as well.For me... So far, So good, my stock one is holding up fine, but I am sure I would need to change it if the right one came along. IMO

Spiro: I think i got the RIGHT 1 ! i'll be trying it out this weekend. @ maplegrove but i still have tranny issues so its going to be hard to get a true test..but this baby is BAD! i really believe this is it! the stall is 2,600 and it has a really good torque mutiplier.its also a 3 clutch lockup.Percision Industries and i have been working together to come up with this one. i'll gaureentee atleast .3-.4 off e.t.'s with traction!
