Post alarm systems?

Any of you guys install alarms. If so what product did you use and how do you like it?

I would like to put one in, however I do not want to have to hack up my wiring in order to do so. I thought I had heard of some alarms that would just plug into factory connections and worked that way.

Any info, I came out of a business yesterday to find some kid hand on my truck checking it out, I said can I help you and he said just checking her out and I said hands off.

PGIO, is it worth your time and aggravation?
I am fixing to have a VIPER alarm professionally installed.
However, I also went ahead and had a couple of extra devices added to the standard package.
#1 I added a motion sensor in the bed of the truck (for someone trying to gain access through the back of the truck or the sliding rr window).
#2 I also added a siren-like device, inside the cabin, with a real-high pitch/db that will drive crooks crazy!

Good luck,

There are systems that work with the factory system. Biggest benefit it that you will be able to do the door keypad mod. later.

I have a Viper w/remote start and stuff, and regret not getting something that works with the factory setup.

I got the regular Ford system 4 in mine. Works with all existing features including keypad. May not be the best but as someone else said on this site once, if they want it bad enough an alarm won't stop them.
