Post Street racing pics...

look, i'm not trying to sound like an old fart or anything, but some of you jokers are posting movies of you streetracing while holding video cameras or blowing by at 140mph or whatever. these videos look awesome, but all i'm saying is be careful. I love my truck and I love to show the guy in the next lane that it is fast too, but just please think about it before you get all crazy on Main Street USA. you or some innocent person (or family) could get hurt. Here are some pics of a ricer that didn't have a happy ending after some streetrace action that apparently got out of hand. I don't know the story, but it doesn't look like it could have ended but so well for the driver and/or passengers. again, not trying to be raining on anybody's parade, I just want everyone to realize that one little mistake can turn into a lifelong reminder... enough public service annoucements for today. have a good one all. later.

once again you have proven that you are NOT a gentleman and a scholar, you are an annoying little ******* with a unbelievably simple mind. you should be required to wear some type of nametag or signage that clearly states to others that you have diminished mental capacities, thus giving them ample opportunity to avoid you and your ignorant opinions. Also, in case you forgot what you do for a living, you are a USED CAR SALESMAN. for lords sake man I can't (with a clear concious) offer any greater insult than that. Have a crappy day loser.

sincerely,
chris haynie

P.S. you are pretty bold when you are just another anonymous moron on the internet, somehow I doubt that you have as much nerve face to face little man. oh ye of little thinking.

I sgree with the original post.We can have fast trucks, but we know where to run them and it's not on the street.Next time your taking one of your pals for a ride at 100 or so just think their lives are in your hands, you have no right to put their future at risk.If ya wanna go fast, go to the track.I love it and the Lightning guys are great, lets be mature racers, and be respected rather than be street racers and be criticized.

It's only dangerous if you make it that way. If your smart, you can still race on the streets. Just make sure you don't get out of control. I bet you have slammed your L to the floor once or twice.

P.S. I bet the Car Salesman would be able to at least get the pics to work also. Go back to turning wrenches monkey.. JJ..

The pix do not work because the site was taken down. He did, however, post them correctly.

This is the problem w/ allowing street racing posts on these boards. I don't condone it and it's quite retarded, but if you want to post about it and this board is going to allow it then I say make a whole seperate forum so we do not have to read these things in this forum.

Regardless, this guy came on here asking you all to be safe and watch what you do, and yet you and Lightningquick come along and blast him for his efforts of at least attempting to save your lives. Who's the immature ones now? At least you could have just NOT replied to this. It's like saying drinking and driving is wrong and then you saying it isn't, or beating your wife, etc.

WHERE IS YOUR G'DAMN COOTH?

Around $10 at a local track on a test-N-tune night is alot safer than a ticket or worse. It doesn't take much for things to get out of control. I would suggest try to keep it at the track. Also BFB well put.

I totally agree, I got hurt a # of years ago while my uncle decided he was going to race a guy on the streets late at night. I was scared out of my mind and told him to slow down but he ignored me. He ended up losing control of the car and hitting a tree head on. He was ok because he was drunk and I was hurt BAD. I had a fractured skull, broken shoulder, broken hip (in three places), broken knee, and two broken lower vertibrate and severed nerves in the spinal colomn. I was in a wheel chair for 6 months and I had to struggle to be able to walk again. I am fully mobile now and YES I do own a fast truck and I will tell you everytime I hit the gas in a racing fashion on the street it comes back to me of that night. I will say right here that I do not recommend street racing because I am glad I got hurt bad than to live with killing or hurting someone else. This is the first time I have told anyone of my accident and I do so to promote good driving habits on the street for all of you. Thanks for listening.

Hmmm,my feelings are these...If you don't want to read the "street racing posts" then don't,no one makes you read every post do they?

Secondly, this is much like any other subject that people feel is dangerous to you and those around you(drinking n driving, drugs etc etc),in the end everyone is gonna what the want to do. No amount of preaching or reason is going change that. End of story.

Lastly: I do street race from time to time. I don't do it on congested roadways,I don't do it on the highway. I go till 100(or light to light) and only on empty roads,so in other words I rarely do it because those ideal factors rarely fall into place. The heart of my racing is done at the track on T&T Thursdays. So you can flame all you want, just don't preach especially if you have done it even once. You are not "holier than thou" and thats how it comes across weather thats how its mean or not.

Hopefully this thread gets closed before it turns real ugly.

Thats exactly what I think. as if he can sit there and say that he has never speed enough to put other peoples lives in danger our his own. I race when i fell it's safe enough for me and others around me. We are all smart enough to know when and when not to.

jeez, I just wanted to post some scary pics and tell you guys to be careful, you can get hurt quick (mainly I wanted to post the scary pics) some of you guys get a little out of hand with your replies.

Look LowriderHD2000 I know everybody races to some extent on the street (and I never said that I didn't) that doesn't make it safe no matter how "SMART" you think you are you can get hurt badly. like I said I just wanted to post the pics (which I DID CORRECTLY) so blow me...you and lightningquick can take turns if you like.

Hitman 31 quote: Hmmm,my feelings are these...If you don't want to read the "street racing posts" then don't,no one makes you read every post do they?

Hitman read my original post again, I never said I didn't want to see them or that I was offended or that anybody MADE me look at them, actually I said that I thought they were frigging awesome, but just use caution.

Hitman31 quote: So you can flame all you want, just don't preach especially if you have done it even once. You are not "holier than thou" and thats how it comes across weather thats how its mean or not.

again, please read the original post, I don't think it was a flame at all. it was meant to be a constructive post with some interesting pics. I do not think (and never said) that I am "holier than anybody" so I certainly didn't mean for it to come across like that.

anyway, enough of this nonsense. I'm sorry that some of you got your panties in a twist over my post. I think a few of you out there need to take a prozac or something, you are a little on edge. anyway, I reposted the pics (the same way I did the first time) so hopefully you all can see them now. have a good weekend all. later.

sincerely,
chris

P.S. thank you Caka, J MAN, BfB, William, 2_FAST4U, and T-Bone (I think) for being cool and understanding what I was trying to say, and that I wasn't trying to talk down to anybody or flame anybody.
