do you think it will be as loud as straight pipes?

 

Where did you order just the x-pipe from, last i knew you had to purchase the cat back system to include this.Are you going to run a muffler with it or just go straight pipes?

 

Does ti replace the cats or the muffler?

 

gt350h: please give us more info after you install the xpipe. what yr L is it going on? any other info would be appreciated as i am considering doing the same on my 01L.

Hmmmm... I have wanted to go with the muffler delete option for a while now. I have been looking all over the place to find an X-Pipe that will replace the factory muffler. Is this going to be a bolt on?? Can you give us the part number and where you ordered it from?? Can't wait to see how it works out...

That x pipe is not a replacement for the muffler. It is just the x pipe that comes with the bassani cat back kit.

I have my bassani x pipe from the cat back on my L with straight pipes and it is loud,and if this is the same x pipe it is a bolt on for the L that fits.

 

Just as 4rts2nv stated, that pipe is a universal "X" section to be used in custom applications. It is not a direct replacement for the mufflers. It is almost the exact same part as the X used in the Lightning kit, but one leg is bent different. I can get them for anyone still interested.
