Calling RTKILLA!
Hey RTKILLA, How have the Dunlop SP9000's been for you so far on the 20's. some BFG and Goodyear 20's have had some vibration problems. have you had any of this. I would think it would be all in the balancing but some tires might be bad. also maybe a bad wheel but I doubt thats it. I have heard of this on goodyears before but I have had many dunlop tires before without any problem. I have a feeling that I am gonna be sorry for passing up on the 9000's. not a big goodyear fan. later 95rcobra.
Cobra don't feel bad about your goodyears, cause one of my dunlops is not round. its not that bad, but I'm gettting a new tire from dulop for it. I felt some mild vibration and I took it back it to discount tire. Well I told them it needed to be rebalanced. well the kid put the tires on the balancer and the first tire cehcked out to be not round. I couldn't believe it when I saw it myself. The guy at discount said that the dunlops are usally the best tires for ride a comfort but once in awile they get a bad one. I guess I just got unlucky. So I called up the tirack and there sending me a new tire and there going to pay for the mounting and balancing on it. Its just a pain to take two hour to do this, you know.
With more and more wear the dunlops are starting to stick better and better. for the bone stock lightning they would probably be a good tire, but next time I'm going with the BF's.

RTKILLA, Go to www.gsp9700.com and locate a machine in your area on that site. they are all over the country. that is the balancer you want to use for the 20's. it reproduces real road conditions by putting pounds of pressure against the tire and wheel while spinning. they can accurately determine where the tire should be on the wheel for the best ride. In other words they will break the bead on the tire and move the wheel to that so- called sweet spot for the best balance possible. it costs $20 per wheel here in NJ. hope you understand now. later 95rcobra.
Hey RTKILLA, Sorry to hear that but it seems like all the tire companys might have bad 20" tires too. the wheels are ok. did they check the trueness of the rims. also did you have the tire/wheel balanced on a hunter gsp9700 vibration balancer. its the latest tech. for getting rid of wheel and tire vibration. I found many tire shops in my area that have it and will get them done on the 9700 as soon as I get my damaged rim replaced. it is good that tire rack will replace your dunlop they're the only tire dealer that I buy from and would recommend to everyone. later 95rcobra.
Dude I have no clue what machine your talking about(HAHAHA). All I know is that the second time they balanced the rims and tires it turned out much better but still some vibrations. the manager assures me that its that one tire that doing it to the truck. I got a free allignment out of it too. I should for $150 bucks.
