I think I have the infamous driverside lower controlarm movement clunk on my 01. I tried doing a search and the files are lost or missing. Anyway if I do the washers or have one tack welded to the frame do I need to get the cam bolt kit? If so is there a part number? I re-sprayed the area around the bolt head to see if it is moving. thanks for any info...

BfB - how can you tell which ones have it by the date thats on the valve cover?

 

Valve Cover is generally the engine build date. Valve Cover date = 4/14/2001

The Window Sticker is where you can find the build date for the entire vehicle.

Mine was build on 4/18/2001

Its in the lower right hand corner. There are other stickers on there with dates too. I have one fall off that said 5.4 and had the date of 4/11/2001, it wasn't the valve cover but it came from somewhere on the truck.
