yeah I have seen them and they are nothing like the lightning. I read all about them before getting my L and not even close. They are kind of cool, but no L.

They sit at the same height as a 4x4 and have an all wheel drive setup. I really like the L and the gm guys need to work much harder to win me back. The L has one me over and to get me back we need to see a factory stock 12 second truck that can handle the twisties just as well as the straight aways.

The C3 was never designed to compete w/ the Lightning. I think GMC was going for something different, and they got it. An AWD truck is cool, but it's damn heavy. They're running consistent 10's in the 1/8-mile. They'll need 2 seconds just in the 1/8 to compete with a lightly modded L.

its a DENALI with a bed

 

It was built to be a luxury touring pickup. It is extended cab short bed. 300 HP 6L motor. Runs the quarter in 16.7 or so. Write ups have said it understeers and under brakes due to weight and momentum of all wheel drive running gear. They say it is very comfy and a great highway cruiser.

A local chevy tuner put an eaton on a ck3 and has it in the high 14's, i guess the dakota rt will have to watch out for two trucks now lol.

 

All-wheel drive, 300-something HP GM truck. Looks like sonething designed to haul a heavy load rather than a lot of a$$. I think it'll be as much competition as the S-10 extreme, personally. Not really built for speed. I think these things run in the $40Ks somewhere, as well.
