Air Box Mod ??
First my truck is bone stock I did the air box mod holes in bottom and k&n filter And I Did pick up some boost and it gets into the supercharger a lot faster but. It seems I lost a lot to low end could easaly roast tire before no not so much and from a roll about 30 or so it does not seem to do shift hard like it used to is the from the mod or more likly the mosterous heat? about 93 in missouri today? Or will it take some time for cpu to adapt? Thanks

ally69,
I have done testing with my open filter kit against my stock airbox with a K/N filter only and the stock air box performed much better than the open one did on my truck.Just a few days ago i put a 4 1/4 inch circle hole in the bottom of my box and ran 4 inch flex hose to it for ram-air and it is working fine so far!
For best results you will have to keep the engine heat away from the filter.By cutting holes in the bottom of your box you are picking up more boost but running slower times just like the open filter because of the engine heat.Just run a flex hose to your box so it seals up from the bottom and all you will get is the outside temperature air coming into the bottom of your box and still is enclosed. This is just my opinion that i feel my truck runs best with this setup!!

Don C, what did you use for a flange to slip the flex over? Also, do you run that black plastic funnel up against the front grill and not the open tube as shown in the front grill picture? Thanks.

Andy,
KGM posted some pictures the other night on 6-15 that showed how he ran a 4 inch underneath, this is how my setup looks.I do not know if it is possible to run a 4 inch up to the grill like Don did,it is awful tight up in that area!
