452/610 and runs all weekend !!!
Well, I finally got my first event in on the new engine.
Woot !!! The Porsches and the 'Vette's don't run away so fast now.
We still have some cold start issues with the tune, but Ken at MD did a respectable job on the requirements. It had to produce maximum HP on a safe tune that would run all weekend in 8 - 12 Sessions at speed per day.
We made it ... !!!

On another note ...
The SVT gang was at Gingerman this weekend, and they had the original GT500KR that Carroll was
seen driving in the commercials ... The Red one ... and a Black on Black one that was pimptastic. For a
mere $10.00 (For charity!) we got to take a hot lap ride.
Let me tell you this car just is amazing. It is very well behaved. We were on a STOCK setup with the exception
of the seats (Recaro of course!) because the new cars must have side air bags and there just isn't any room with race seats.
That's also the reason the Ford GT went out of production last year, BTW.
Screaming down the straights (Me AND the car!) we four wheel drifted through turn one at about 100 mph. (Yikes!) The
car didn't push, accelerated like a 'Vette outta the apex's, and felt like a fine leather glove on your hand.
I may just have to buy one of these once the novelty wears off. Some coil overs and a set of race rubber and it would be
a hard combo to beat for a track car.
For all you FORD FANATICS, I know what SVT has in the works (Yikes!), and you Lightning owners are going
to be AMAZED !!!! (I am sworn to secrecy, of course, unless you get me drunk enough to blab!) Let it suffice to say
that the new leader at SVT is a customer oriented CAR GUY who understands the "HALO" effect, and loves to polish the oval!
Christine ran well, and we got back to LexVegas on Sunday night. Haven't unpacked the truck yet, cause I am just too tired
to do it. Two days of driving on-track after not doing it for 18 months is too much. My forearms are still cramping up this
morning. I have no idea how the pros keep it up year after year as they age.
See you ON-TRACK !!!
Notice the puff of dirt and the cone? HEH HEH HEH --- Dr. Audrey's Rule #1, "If it ain't Green, DRIVE on it !!!"

GREAT TO HEAR CLIFF
WOO HOO AND CONGRATS, and nice pic w/ you in front of the Vette
Couldnt have said it better myself Tim
I have never in my life seen a car company show off so many concepts at a big show with the promise of a production model, and then BAM they pull the plug (well ok they only pull the plug 99.9% of the time).
Ford has been missing out on a HUGE market place since 2004 and I dont think they'll ever get back into performance with Gay Bill at the helm...
Either way they'll NEVER catch up with Dodge ...

Can I get another load of Feed, we lost the last one
Give us a break Rob. Ford and GM have more than their shares of problems right now but the reality is that Chrysler is almost completely wiped out. Last year under the terms of sales, due to all liabilities, Mercedes Benz had to pay 4 billion to Cerberus to take them over. So they were worth less than nothing. Cerberus's was to clean up the shop, so to speak, and sell what was left to Renault/Nissan. When I spoke to a Chryco designer in Detroit back in January, they had already started to work with Nissan on common projects. Since then, the bottom has fallen out. Their flagship car plant in Brampton has dropped back two full shifts with talks of complete closure and half their dealerships are shcheduled for closure. Most of their product line including Jeeps looks straight out of the 80's with the worst quality of the entire auto industry.
I was a big fan for years hoping for a big come back but the best than can hope now is becoming a tier 2 manufacturer for a larger one still expected to be Nissan, if anything can be salvaged.
So in the race to the bottom, I sure hope Ford or GM never catch up to Dodge.
You beloved Viper kit car is about to become a Kia or something else most likely from China or India...

Back on topic. Way to go Cliff. Truck looks and sounds terrific! I may try to make it your way next year.
