PolePosition S03's?
Has anyone tried them out yet? They look to be an awesome tires and are getting better reviews then the S02's.

275-40R18 looks to be the most compatible tire size without changing rims. They're about $300 a tire.

F1's: 3.6/10

Heheh, yeah, I saw that too and laughed.
My F1's are getting a bit slippery now (20k miles), so its time to upgrade.
What rims are you running these days? I'm looking to get bigger breaks soon as well and I was wondering what you got to fit over yours.

the tire to have on a cobra was a firestone, sz250ep i think they were called, they come in run-flats too, and are reasonably priced, a few guys got 1.70 60fts on them in almost stock cars, that is good for irs, and that was before all the hop braces came out
The F1 reviews are biased they are regular F1's not the 01' Lightning formula. I cannot fault mine at ALL. I donated the F1's that came on the Vette to the smoke gods LOL, and replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport they are awesome alomst no change between wet and dry grip. SCCA autocross will not allow them in street clas though. The one lap 01' Lightning ran Pilots too but they are pricey. $1950 out the door for a set on the Vette 295/40/18 front, 335/35/18 rear. I have heard of Toyo Proxes on L's. BFG G-Force R1 race tires are only 140 a piece!

I had the S02 Pole Position tires and they were the best street tires I've ever had. Incredible street grip and awesome wet-weather performance as well. I'd image the S03 is even better. However, they are very expensive. For the price of one set of S02s I bought 4 R1 slicks and 4 Nitto street tires.
I looked into the S03s today. I had the S02s in a 295/35. It turns out that the S03 is only H or V rated, not Z rated like the S02. I'm sure its a good tire, but I wonder if some kind of manufacturing problems has caused them to reduce the speed rating on the tire. Hmmmm
Huh? The S03 only come in W and Y ratings. These are higher speed ratings than Z. The S03 does not come in anything as "slow" as a Z rating.

Nathan: Where did you hear that? The TireRack page says W or Y rated:
Dreamin': Do you still have that other set of rims for sale? I may be interested.
