I don't know spiro, but don't you think he should be running a couple tenths faster with all those mods.

j-man: ditch the upper pulley and get a PSP lower pulley, A psp electric fan kit, and get a PSP chip.

Also the Nitrous would only make you faster.

I have pretty much the same stuff as you except I have the PSP lower pulley, PSP fan, And PSP chip.. My trans is bone stock and My gears are stock 3.55 also. Plus I run full weight which is allot heavier then most and I get 12.7's on my the street program.

try out the PSP chip! and other toys.

MPH are down because of the heat. I usually run over 110mph and I'm now only running 106-107mph.

WOW...I see..How could I forget all that

O.K. Here's my take on a few things. First off, I also agree that your mph should be higher that what you are running. I for example with fewer and without nitrous run in the 107-110 mph at CECIL COUNTY with an alttitude of 320 ft, and BP between 28.80-31.31

METERS:
I never noticed any improvement with them. They DO run you a bit leaner and thats where the extra power comes from that you feel in the "butt-o-meter". And also requires a proper burn on the chip for them.

BASSANI:
What could I say...it sounds AWESOME, but I personally never seen a gain from ET using it, and I did not go with the headers either. I did my 3.73 swap to make up for the little torque I lost down low.

Convertors:
WOW...tough one here.. But I will give my opinion on them.
There are a few available, but do they work better than what we have? I dont think so...I see so many trucks with convertors, only to run slower when they install them. Yes I know the chip has to be "programmed" for it...but I still do not see spending almost 1K for a convertor, and a few more hundred for the install only to be dissapointed by the results.
I do believe that the "beefier" convertors will be needed as I shoot more nitrous into the motor...but I tell you all now..I am sticking with the stock until it DIES..then I will replace it with a NEW STOCK CONVERTOR that I have sitting here waiting for that moment. I spent my money for a convertor on a NITROUS system, with the proper tuning I run deep into the 11's with it.

TB:
They sound great, and for a while I had one on my truck before it was sold to another Lightning owner. I loved the sound, and slightly better throttle responce, but I will wait to buy one when I could get one for a better price that what they are selling for right now. 400-500 bucks is a little too much for 6 HP. But this mod will be needed inthe future for all....

* I was asked for views on this, if you dont like what I posted, your feelings are noted*

I would personally go back to the stock convertor...but then again, its only MY opinion...

oh yeah, 3.73 gears are going to slow you trap speeds.

with a 3.55 those would be maybe 1 to 2 MPH higher

Try making a pass with your stock wheel/tires and see if your MPH goes up.

Well your stock tires will definetly get you another 1 to 2 mph more, but also you need to remeber that your 60 foots are probably going to be lower.

the key to make a fast pass is that 60 foot time.

Just remeber that you have a aluminum driveshaft and both johhny and spiro have both broke the aluminum driveshafts with too much power. If I was you, I would put the steel one back in if the aluminum looks bad! check it out and make sure of it.

Honestly I think putting a 4.10 gear in the back with this truck is an absolute waste if your really into racing.

Especially with dual power adders.

with a 50 shot, you should pick up another 5 to 6 MPH on your speeds average.

I had a really nice and cold day when I ran the 12.28 with my 50 shot. I probably average a 12.4 all day with the 50 shot though. at 112mph.

There are no absolutes with the L.I have 3.73 gear and ran 108.97 with et streets almost 3 mph higher than f1s.Also i have 12s runs were my 60ft was in the low 1.9s so everything you read on this or any board might not apply to your L at your track ect. There was a 99 at the strip that has the latest and greatest chip and filter setups[more than one] and my 00 was 3/10ths faster with a year old swanson chip and pro-m on 93 pump gas.

KILLA,

I agree, somewhere there is something holding it back. As for the 3.55's...I have been thinking about going back to them

ZORPRIME,gityousucka

Here's a tip for you and your friends:
"BELIEVE NOTHING THAT YOU HEAR,AND ONLY HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE" I run in the 10's on F1's....LOL
