I will be ordering the psp filter kit and the psp lower blower pulley for my 2001 and someone had said that I had better get a chip if I get the pulley to compensate.

If I do the air kit and the pulley do I have to have a chip or can it wait.

Any suggestions or comments

I do not want to cause myself more problems if I can avoid it.

YOU will not need to add a chip to compensate with a pulley....not at all. Take your time with the truck,no need to rush into a chip because someone recommended it now. If I had a new truck...I would add the chip after most of my MODS were done...
When you add a pulley, your adding more air. Our fuel systems have a "boost sensitive" fuel regulator, and will add the needed to fuel to make up for the extra air. There are some that run "slightly" leaner..but when I say leaner, I mean like .1-.3 tenths leaner. You with out a chip will be running a little "fatter" than most.. Ahhhh...

In your list I did not see a chip. I assume you are running one is it the psp 4-way.

On the 4 way chip can you have it set up like this:

street for my wife
street for me
and stock

I think having a wife program might be a smart thing.
