Thumbs up Check out these quick change blower pullies!

I'm considering getting one of these. Check it out. It's supposed to allow for a pulley change in 10 minutes or less! It would be pretty bad-*** to swap the pullies out at the track. www.southfloridapulleyhq.com

Just remember with a smaller upper blower pulley, you also will be reducing the Belt-to-pulley contact surface, and could invite slippage. Just my opinion

Metco had a keyed upper pulley at WFC that looked similar and it was around $80 (I think).

Always wondered about belt slippage on a smaller pulley due to less surface contact.

Very cool design from METCO, and they also make AWESOME STANG parts...trust me, I know

Hey...maybe some of the guys that purchased the pulley kits could tell us their thoughts on it. I know I remember a few that purchased the pulleys, but only RobG comes to mind...and input Rob?...Have you tried it? do you like it? Why not share the info.

Thats why we need a awesome belt tensionoir on the truck. Eddies going to make me one from the novi 2000 brackets. once I get it done I'll probalby get those interchangable pulleys. I'm telling you spiro, It will work better like this. It has too.

At WFC my buddy bought one and it was $280 installed and took them about 20 min. to do and looks real easy to change back to stock size because the Metco kit gave him stock pulley size and a 2# upper pulley... As far as slipping he has not noticed any and is currently running between 12.1x-12.5x with a 75 shot of NOS... BTW the dealer will know that the pulley is different because the Metco one has 3 hex bolts that come loose and then the pulley just slides off... It's an awesome invention because alot of owners that changed out the upper pulley had some problems due to being pressed on... This now eliminated the pressed on part because that part stays on and just the pulley part comes off and then screws on...

Later, Justin

Cool

I really like the interchangeable pulleys because I can go back to the stock size should I get any detonation in this hot summer weather. I also didn't think about belt slippage due to less contact surface on the smaller pulley itself.

I am currently running the upper interchangeable pulleys. I use the smaller one for the 1/8 mile, and the standard configuration for the 1/4 mile. I am also running a set of 4:10 gears with nos, and have found that the smaller pulley will not work in the 1/4 mile with the 4:10's and this is why I have both available to me. I like the idea of being able to swap them for different tracks, and conditions etc.

No belt slipage at all, and pretensioner is still very tight. You lose about __ this much belt contact since the pulley is only 3/16 small in dia.
