i put the intercooler upgrade kit on my 99 truck which came with a differant lower intake to replace the one on it.would this by any chance let me use a 2001 or later sc on it?

 

Yes, an 01-up blower will be a bolt on. You can use the 99-00 unit also but you'll need to drill extra holes for the different pattern.

 

do you mean drill extra holes to put the 01 model on the upgraded manifold ? the reason i ask is the stock 99 bolts right up.believe me im not second guessing you i just need a little more clarification on the drilling.

 

99/00 blower/intake has a different bolt pattern than 01-up. You can't put a 99-00 blower on an 01-up intake (unless you drill a few extra holes in the blower to match the 01-up bolt pattern).

Are you saying that you have an "upgraded" intake manifold and all, or just the recall kit for the 99-00? The recal kit just gives you the 01-up heat exchanger, and a new midplate with the older bolt pattern. If you have an entire 01 lower intake and all, your 99-00 blower won't bolt on.

 

okay,i understand now.yes,i have the ford recall with with the mid plate.by the, im still running your very first cold air air filter setup and it works as good as the first day i got it.thanks for the help.
