What do you say
when asked by a competitor(at the strip or on the street), "any mods"?
let's say your L has a chip and a blower pulley. it looks and sounds 'stock'. you've just run or are going to run against someone that doesn't know you or your truck.
do you say:
1. "chip and a s/c pulley"
or,
2. "bone stock"
or,
3. keep your mouth shut and just GRIN?

At the track I can't say anything. Everybody already knows my Red Lightning and how fast I run. People, all the time coming over to me and asking me where the N20 is hidden because a 4800 lb truck with an ARE lid w/ wing isn't susposed to run in the 12s. I just laugh and say, Guess I must have gotten one of the fast ones and "Guess I just knew how to break her in, right.
Then I point to the sticker on the rear window which says:
"DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!
Works every time.
And if they ask me what I have done to it over stock? I answer "Wet Cherry Wax". Good for a couple of tenths right there.he,he.
I think almost any vehicle given our weight would be hard pressed to RACE us Title for Title. What do you think?

That's true. There aren't many sports cars/trucks that weigh as much as the Lightning.
