I have run FFW events in Fla. for the past 2 years. Last year I ran MOD MOTOR too many Lighting were taking home BIG Bucks so the Mustang guys got together put up contingecy moneys or what ever and got the rules changed to Fox-Body modulars only. ($7500.00 to win.)
This year, the only choices were Top Truck-$300.00 to win (Showdown class) or Brackets $600.00 to win.
I went in Top Truck. Atleast I got to race a lot of Lightnings.Bad news is #30.00 FFW Membership fee for showdown classes (have to make 3 qualifing runs, best et is your dial in with a tenth run under) and $60.00 entry fee.
Well after running 2 events Bradenton Fla, finished 5th and Gainesville Fla.-Rained out they said NO Refunds we had to go to the next event in Va.!! BS!!!! We argued that we only do Fla. FFW events and wanted to be transfered to brackets ($600.00 purse) SAME ENTRY FEE and are being held in Gainesville Fla. the 23rd of June. Well it finally worked and FFW officials aggreed.
The reason for this post is the money you had to pay to possibly win $300,00. No big name sponsor is going to step up to the plate and offer big bucks for us Lightnings guys.
"FORD ARE YOU LISTENING.
LISTENING???
Stay in Brackets there is bigger money payouts and people don't sand bag with Nitrous as easily and you can adjust your dial-in each run!!!

I'm With 1RedDevil. Top Truck is too much trouble for such a small pay out, and there is a chance you could only make four passes the whole weekend. The bracket classes also run leiminations and have pay outs for both days.
