Talking New Motor Installed

Well folks.....its in and runing. As some of you may already know...I burned a piston in my 2000 motor 3 weeks ago.

I purchased a new 2001 crate motor, and it was installed yesterday with much help from some good friends. There are several differences in the two motors, aside from the obvious, which make the swap somewhat troublesome, but all in all, it went very well, and was completed in about (14) hours total time. Now for the break-in and some new track times.

The "old" motor ran a best of 13.07 @ 104.5 MPH at the WFC4 in St Louis. I only hope that the new motor is as strong.

Keep us posted on how it runs. Also your battle with Ford on the old one.

Please, can you let us know what you went through on the swap?

I assume you got a COMPLETE '01 motor (upper/lower intake, s/c and all?)
