Post Bang For The Buck Mods (other than chip)

Hi all...
I'm ordering a chip in two weeks, but for now I've got $350.00 for mods. I've got a 2000 w/ GMS maf and Bassani x-pipe/cats & mufflex catback. What's next?
Shift kit? <will it make me faster?
Pulley? <I've heard mixed reviews.
Electric fan? <Any horsepower gain?
Ram Air? < I've already got a pretty big K@N

I'm new to this Lightning thing...I appreciate y'alls help

Good question, I have a 2001 L and am wondering the same thing. I am looking at ram air kits, but which one and I am thinking about maybe just trying a k&n to start with. I only have about 400 miles on her so far.

If it were me..I would go with a shift-kit, then a pulley before a chip. IMO

Aprroximately how much rwhp is gained w/ a pulley? E.T. reduction? Is reliability compromised...the truck is my daily driver.

Thanks for the replies...keep 'em comin'

Lower pulley and shift kit. I have been running both on my daily driver for several thansand miles. No problems and big difference. Would do it again in a minute.

don't waste your $ on a flat k&n filter if you are going to get one of jl's or psp's filter kits. they use a conical-shaped filter. btw, i instl'd a lower pulley sat. good quality kit--added about 2lbs. of boost.

Thumbs up

I installed a psp lower pully on monday, great product and great dollar to perfomance ratio.Wish i could be at the strip testing it but it is in the 90,s and humid and i would not be able to give it a fair et test but i would guesstimate about 1.5 tengths or better. The chip and filter prety much go hand in hand as one mod on these trucks and the psp lower pulley is definitly the nex't best mod imho.Ieven managed to get the slightly smaller gates pulley belt on.

Isn't anyone else afraid of over spining the blower. That eaton wouldn't be cheap to replace. It the lower pully easy to change so you could put the stock pully back on if something did break?
