Post calling 2001 L owners with filter kits.....

I have read some posts here and on other boards that the filter kits are great and help make more boost and all the other stuff and then I read that on the 2001 L the airbox is better and flows better or something and helps keep the air inlet temp down.

So what do I do now.....I was thinking about getting an air filter kit and now I am not sure.

If you own a 2001 and have done a filter kit mod what do you think and how much did it help or not??

Also on a sidenote I have seen quite a bit about JDM and was wondering if they have a website or something that you can read about their products.

Thanks Paul

Do a search on my userName and see my post dated 6-08-01, It deals quite extensively with your question. "Installed a JL ramair kit today" is the post.

The stock air box is still choking. I ran a 3" brake duct hose to the bottom of mine and to the front bumper. VERY nice improvement. I am too worried about sucking air from the oven to run an open element.
