Talking Which filter kit??????

I am trying to decide which filter kit to go with. I have heard good thing about most all of them and just do not know which one to choose.

Anybody with any of these kits please let me know what you think of them and if you would have chosen a different one and why and whatever else you can think of.

I am looking at the psp and airraid and johnny lightning and I think there are a few others. I want the best quality and of course best performance.

Any help?
Paul

You really can't go wrong with any of 'em.
The numbers show that most L owners have Airaid.
And this is a subject that is beaten into the ground. Just buy something in your price range.

Hey JBL good choice on the color.

I am leaning toward the PSP and just would like to have any other input. I have one vote for the PSP and another for the airraid.

With either of these did you guys see boost increase and did the truck show more response or what was your expeireince.

Thanks
Paul

I currently have a JDM chip (TST2 E25) JDM filter kit and a modified factory airbox. I have done some real time comparisons with both filters. Since the weather is so hot here in TX, the JDM filter kit takes in to much engine heat. So I opted to use and modify the factory airbox. What I did is cut a 4" hole in the bottom of the airbox closest to the engine. I then connected a 4" tube to this hole and ran it straight down between the lower radiator hose and the front core support out thru the fender cover in front of the tire. I then extended that tube to the front of the lower grill from the back side. So if you look past between the front tire and fender opening you can see the 4" tube hanging down. I also was able to do some real-time data comparisons between the two. Here are the numbers, decide for your self. Both test were done within an hour time frame.

OUTSIDE AIR TEMP/Humid= 95 degrees/99% humidity at 2:00PM

First JDM Airfilter kit:
Flow Meter Data: From 80MPH to WOT capturing data at 120MPH= 45lbs/min
Intake Air Temp: Steady Cruise at 80MPH= 130 +/- 3 degrees

Second Modified Factory Airbox:
Flow Meter Data: From 80MPH to WOT capturing data at 120MPH= 43lbs/min
Intake Air Temp: Steady Cruise at 80MPH= 100 +/- 2 degrees
