The clunk is for sure, but thanks to Herb (action911) there is a fix! Not sure about the leaks. I have 9000 miles on my 2001's odo and no leak yet. I marked it about 2 months ago, and check it twice a week (while cleaning my truck, and yes, I wax under my hood. ) The trannys aren't bad. Atleast, I don't think so. I'm guessing if you do enough hard launches, and power stands, and burnouts in ANY vehicle that something is bound to break. Good luck in your choice of vehicle. And remember, there is no such thing as perfection.

I just picked up my 2001 L on Saturday and many many problem have been encountered. The annoying people staring and then the kids revving their engines wanting me to put on a show.

And the worst problem is my foot seems to be soooo heavy it just can't get off the gas.

Also my grin from ear to ear has not stopped since we brought her home.

I am sure eventually some of these problems will be showing up, but for now it is just fun fun fun.

i like racing light to light and my 99 cobra had a sq trim vortech, but it only took .500 off of my 1/8 mile time, and that was launching on a prepped track..on the street you couldnt really lanch hard and you were only in boost for 2 sec for 1st and 3 sec for 2nd, if the tires werent coming off, you couldnt really downshift and punch it either, the car would spin like mad and shoot sideways, i want something i can race light to light and not get beat by anything, but i also want to be able to eat a big mac at the same time, and not have to shift every 5 sec...im planning on doing the psp mods--filter, chip, pulley, and shift kit all at once, how reliable are these parts, with my cobra i never got it tuned right, i dont want to do that again, plug and play is what i want, so i can prep my self for a dealer visit in a few hours...on the street what do these things do to the LS1's and fords finest???
