Post 01 fog lamps on a 00

Is there any way to get the 01 fog lamps to fit a 00? I read some where that a mustang foglamp will work? Anybody try this?

If you are trying the swap because the 99/00's lenses crack, don't bother, since the 01's crack also. If it is for the looks, then now you know they will probably crack!

Not an easy swap. Certainly not plug 'n play. I thought about it myself, til I found out the '01s cracked, too. (Damn, Ford, can't you put some ***** in these trucks that works?) Still wondering what other folks are doing for a solution, I am thinking of a ball peen hammer, myself. Call me fed up in Ventura.

Alphadoggy, I covered mine with two layers of aircraft clear vinyl. The stuff is 8 mil thick and has eliminated my cracking problem. I have had it on there since last Sept. and have not fixed another lens. In fact, I ordered a spare, and haven't needed it. I will, however, have to change the vinyl in 2-3 months, as it's beginning to fog up a little (no pun intended), but once a year is acceptable to me.
