Lightbulb Terminator

Has anyone out there heard of the "Terminator Project"?

I have : )

And boy did I get excited when Ken Eckels drove by my house today in a '01 Cobra.

Jerry Green with Ford, acknowledged this car when it was asked about during an interview at WFC4. It will also have the IRS, updated and better than before, according to him. He said it would have the 32V motor with a S/C.

I'm glad to hear its a 4v motor.

Maybe it will run low-12s out of the box...like it should.

A couple magazines have had spy photos of it. Looks somewhat like the Cobra R, big hood and all.

They put a roots-type supercharger on a Cobra. Also has some new appearance junk on it.

I've heard the numbers so far were:

388 HP
397 ft/lbs torque

Wes...I think low 12's out of the box are a definite possiblity. I was told that they were going after the Z06.

I can't see this car costing that much. maybe 40k for it. If they do make one of these, it might take the place of my 03 L that I was thinking about.

talk about some mad crazy sick factory horsepower. chit we got another 100 from some bolt ons, imagine that cobra with some bolt on's. hell yeah, I want one. convertable, I've neve had a vert and I want one.

If its over $40k, it better run low-12s.

The torque will be very good with the positive displacement blower, instead of the centrifugal type (although personally, I'm a huge fan of the centrifugals).

Getting an "easy 100hp" on top of the factory power will largely depend on whether you want to keep it 50-state legal or not, etc.

Nevertheless, I'm just glad they're indeed doing a blown 4v engine. It should be pretty cool. Any ideas on production #s?
