Question Belt slippage?

I picked up my 01 L a couple of weeks ago from the Tulsa Auto Monopoly err...Collection and it's got about 800 miles on it. When it shifts from 1st to 2nd at WOT I hear a short high piched noise that sounds exactly like a slipping belt. Could the blower belt be slipping at that point? Both belts appear to have sufficient tension on them.

I assume that you replaced the blower belt with a 2" shorter one, right? I wouldn't think that the acc belt would do this.

I beleive the belt is .2 of an inch shorter and the Gates part # is KO80660.
The belts do start to slip worse over time and it doesn't take much time.
