lightning price?
lightning price?
@ a local car dealership they have a 99 lightning for 17,500 dollars...that seems kind of up there for a truck from 99 do they really go for this price or is that truck gunna sit there for a while? Thanks again.
Well there's a 02 for $26,000 near me, lol. But it's a bone stock in mint condition L with 16,000 miles. Yea, they're asking top-dollar for it. Well I'd say well over the top for a 02. But I'd honestly be hard pressed to give that for a 04 these days let alone a 02. There would have to be under 5000 miles on it for me to pay top dollar for it (for a 03/04). How many miles are on it? Maybe it's one of those rare trucks with under 5000 miles on it? There was a 99 a few years back that was up for sale in Florida that had no miles and was only driven home from the dealer new and still had all the factory plastic on the floors and seats. I'm sure there's a few collectors out there with L's with no miles on them - those would be the only ones worth paying top or over the top dollar for.
Hello all, this looks to be a very informative forum, so I just joined. I'll use my first post to ask a question. There is a Black 99 Lightning for sale 3 minutes from my house. The guy only wants $6900 for it, but it has 118K miles. What should I be looking for when I check it out, or should I not even bother? I see in the pics he has, that it has an aftermarket hood, headlights, and tinted windows. Don't know if it has any performance mods though. BTW I believe it is a vehicle he bought just to sell, as he doesn't seem to have any history about it or plates on it.
When I was looking for mine, I considered an 04 with 5700 miles for 25,500...that was from a private party. Very clean truck obviously. I think dealers right now are asking too much and generally not worth it unless if it's a Ford CPO truck. Definitely consider a private party.
spoolinfordays.......an L with that many miles has been driven into the ground. and i would almost bet its about to throw a rod....go start it up and listen for a knocking sound if there is one no matter what he says its a 99.8% chance its a rod knock. be very very careful about that truck.
