I blew it at Milan last night!
I went out to Milan Dragway last nite for test and tune and the street races.I ran into PFA and BABOLT out at the track,a couple of really nice guys.PFA was really helpfull on the info and tips on bracket racing,it was my first time actually racing.Any way I get to the second round of eleminations and I get carried away with my burnout and must have hit my rev limiter,Ihave a Superchip street chip. I stage and take off and somethings wrong I have no boost. I ran the whole run anyways. My truck ran a 14.83 @ 87.00 mph. with no boost the guage was all the way down on the vacuum side. This never happened to me before and I was pretty upset,my truck was running pretty good up to this point! Does anybody Know for sure what hose to plug,PFA told me he thought the pink one near the actuator valve. do I have to unplug any electrical connections? Any help would be really apreciated.
Next to the by pass valve on the blower is an electrical solenoid. It has a vacuum hose going in and out of it, and if you look at the engine harness going to it, it will have a silver sticker on it that says "SCB". Unplug that connector from the solenoid. Just do it at the track though. That will stop the boost from shutting off like it did. DO NOT plug off the vacuum line like some people do. What that does is keep the by pass always closed, never allowing it to open. If you do that, it will heat the blower up faster because it will not by-pass air at idle, cruise, or any time you are not in boost (which is about 90% of the time). Hope this helps.
