Yeeeehawwwwwwwwww. Crash tests and intercooler leaks be damned. Don't get in a crash and remember any wreck is at least 33% your fault for being there. Not many here can claim to have driven as many miles as I have and I have missed, not been involved in quite a few. Of course the Lord helped a lot.
You can have my Lightning when I trade it in on a new one.

I suppose the Lord has favorites or something?

Absolutely, not becoming a Christian until the age 46, the Lord had to look over me a long time. Considering the way I drove as a youth, I sure the line of guardian angels whos hands I'll have to shake will be long indeed. My teachers in high school were taking bets on when I'd kill myself in my 58 chevy and most did not believe I would reach 18. I know many who didn't make it. Favorite? Yes, indeed. Praise the Lord.

NOEL, did you get any widened wheels thru BABOLT? If so, do you have any pictures of them on your truck and how much they were widened, tire size. He posted pictures of some 2001 wheels some time ago that were widened and said that they were for "Noel". I've attached the post.

Trade your truck for a 03, NOW that is an idea that I could get into. But I would have to trade a 01 for the 03. Guess I had better hold off on the mods. LOL

Glad to see I'm not alone. I _may_ trade my 2000 in for a 2003...or I might just buy a 2003 to tow my then-to-be-track-prepared 2000. lol... Now I just need to save up the piles of cash to make that dream possible.

Wink To all you naysayers!

To hell with 'ya.

I love my Lightning, leaks, crash tests and all.

Crash tests: 85% of you race your Lightnings...nothing but roll-cages will save you at 75+, regardless of the angle of impact.
Intercooler leaks: Thats what ESP is for...after that, well, you weren't expecting to spend your money on some OTHER object were you? If you were, for shame!!

Would I buy another Lightning? DEFINATELY
Do I love my Lightning? DEFINATELY
Does my Lightning force me to spend all my money on it? DEFINATELY
Does my girlfriend get jealous of my attention to my truck? DEFINATELY
Am I a slave to my machine? DEFINATELY
Will I need to repaint my truck from washing it too much? PROBABLY

Long live our trucks!

Daniel
