Question Does the intercooler pump run all the time?

I was wondering if the intercooler pump runs all the time or does it cycle on and off? I would think that it runs all the time when the engine is running am I wrong? Thanks for any answers you can provide. Just trying to get a better understanding of the engine systems on my Lightning.

Thanks for the reply. Any thoughts on a higher volume pump? Would this cool the air charge more?

Remember, if you don't have the fluid in the frontal intercooler long enough to get cool by the force of the air then it will not cool quicker.
