Post How much should I excpect to pay for a '01 Lightning?

I think I'm going to sell my truck and buy a '01 Lightning near the end of the year and was curious as to how much I should excpect to pay and what options I should get. I was also wanting to get info. on what the X-plan and A-plan purchases are. Thanx for any help!

For the average buyer the MSRP stands at 32,400. No options to order except a crappy toneau cover $200. Some dealers in other states etc. will give a discount if you want to take a trip. Invoice is around 28,800.

01' Silver Bullet
Bought 03/31/01
Tire shredding truck
Prototype ram air 5/03 testing... Works GREAT!
Retrax cover 5/5/01
Wet Okoles 6/04/01
Looking for a chip and pulley soon.

Elmo,

You can get x plan by joining the eaa. it is the experimental aircraft association I have not done it but have heard that people can get the xplan through membership.

Exclamation

Check to make sure your dealer will honor the X-plan as they are not required by Ford to honor any of the plans. If they don't look around until you find someone that will, it'll save ya about $3800. Here's where you join the EAA to get the X-plan:

Question

Does anyone know of dealerships relatively close to California who will honor the X plan? I'm getting desperate in my search for this possibility.
