Thumbs up Retrax question

First off, I got my truck! Woohoo, yippy, yahoo, happy happy joy joy!

Second:

I've got a retrax. It's beautiful. My only question is: Is the rear supposed to seal against the tailgate? I lined up the front with the front of the bed and there's a pretty good (1/2") gap at the rear. Any thoughts?

(a very happy)

They included a gasket kit, but from reading the directions, it seemed like the gasket was for the bottom and sides...

Mine overlaps the tailgate edge by a 1/2 inch not much but it does cover the gate. The side rails also come over the gate by an 1/8th or so.

Yep, mine goes slightly over the tailgate too. It sounds like either your product or your installation is a bit funky.

It goes over the tailgate, but the seal on the underside of the retrax doesn't hit the tailgate.

Does the seal hit your tailgate?
