My L won't idle...HELP!!
Drove my L last weekend and it ran fine, I went to drive it today and it will start but will not idle. If I bring my RPMs up to 2000 it runs fine but when I lift off the gas peddle it dies. Any advice??

Look for obvious vacuum leaks.
Clean the IAC. |
Thanks B-Man, I assuming it has to be something simply like that. At the risk of sounding like a newbie (which I am) can you tell me what the IAC is?
Thanks |
IAC = Idle Air Control
I googled the image for you, it looks like this http://www.explorerforum.com/data/50..._black_cap.jpg that one in the picture looks nasty , but u get the idea. |

Thanks From what I've read it is hard to get to, but you can do it if you have patience. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=308530 Scroll down and there is a picture (out of the truck) of what I am talking about. |
I would clean IAC first

Just take it off, and run some carb cleaner thru it. Make sure u clean the threads on the valve real good. |
Thank you to all that replied, I cleaned the IAC this weekend and found a bad vacume hose. The truck is idling great again!
