Radiator Issues
Radiator Issues
I had yet another coolant leak, brought truck to dealer, and I am now looking at purchasing my third radiator. My current leaky radiator lasted only a year and a half. According to the dealer service rep. he has seen these plastic radiators crack at the seams on several occasions. Do any of you know where I can purchase a quality all metal radiator? I am getting tired of buying radiators. Thanks.
All aluminum radiator
I am looking at using an Alumorad radiator. I believe it is made overseas, but it is all aluminum welded construction. It is not on their website (Alumorad.com) but I called and they said they have them. I believe it is 230 plus 25 dollars shipping. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I think I am pretty close.
I have also put 3 radiators in my truck. Tired of doing it, so looking for something else.
Anyone had any experience with Alumorad?

I have a LFP aluminum radiator awaiting install, seems to be well made, and I have yet to hear of any issues with it.
But honestly if you cracked 2 radiators already you may have some underlying problem that is yet to be discovered, I have over 80,000 miles on mine, and a bunch of others have many more miles than that, and to be honest this is one of the first radiator failures I have heard of on a gen2 Lightning.
