2) enlighten me up on R&R tips to remove the S/W please??

Just disconnect the battery and away I go OR is there air/bag or any surprises?

Remove the airbag by popping off two round plastic covers on the sides of the wheel, and removing the 10mm bolts underneath. Airbag pulls straight out. There is a plug that needs to be removed.

Then remove the other plug connecting the wheel with the clockspring (you can see it above).

Remove the wheel with a 2-jaw puller. You can see in the photo above that the jaws are to be placed top and bottom. The wheel is on pretty damn good. It will make a loud POP when it comes free.

That's all that I can remember.

what is a clock spring ?

and exactly what type puller do i need to buy?

The only puller i have right now is a 3 leg puller (leg's are L shaped).

 

Tim coverd it pretty good.. The clock spring is black plastic and that is delivers the power to your accesspries on your wheel.. I broke mine and doubt the hub adapter will fit over it anyway.. here is a pic of the puller. I got it at autozone for $20

 

It's inside that black plastic housing. It has a set of wipers that keeps electrical contact as the wheel turns.



You can see the yellow connector for the airbag and the socket for the ribbon wire from the steering wheel.

if you look at the wheel photo above, you can also see where the 10mm bolts go through the side of the wheel. Use a pick to remove the plastic plugs covering the bolts.
