I took the L to FASTech in Garland, TX this morning for the dyno day they were having. I let the truck cool down for an hour before making the runs. My two mods are in my sig. My best pull was 368.3 RWHP and 431.8 RWTQ. Needless to say, all of the f-body guys were pretty shocked. I just smiled and laughed. The HP is right where I was expecting, but the TQ was more than I expected. Peak HP was at 5,200 RPM, and peak TQ occurred at 3,700 RPM. Heat soak definitely hurts. My 4th pull netted 347.7 RWHP and 412.1 RWTQ. My best pull was my 1st one. It lost 7 RWHP and 6 RWTQ on the 2nd pull. So, hotlapping at the track will definitely hurt the times.
I'm very pleased with the #'s.

Trevor D we need to hook up . I live in Farmers Branch . I wish I would have known you were going I would have went . I have a JL chip and my buddy has a Superchip in his L . He may have wanted to go too . He called me up last night after he installed his chip and said his tires just boil on take off . I told him mine don't but second gear PULLS HARD !

My 01 chip that i got from PHP produced 40HP and 50ft.pounds of torque at the rear wheels on the dyno and helped allow me to run 109mph at the track backed up 3 times in a row!He is also a superchip dealer that does in house tuning!

I also had awesome numbers with my Diablo chip burnt by Johnny lightning. My truck made 390.1 hp and 510.7 lbs. of torque with the chip and 350.3 and 444.6 without the chip. ---Neil Minor

 

nminor - Was your 510 lbs./ft. of RWTQ a converter flash? Those are some awesome #'s! Is the Diablo chip a "street" tune I assume? Do you have any pinging with it?
