Im feeling the Bostons all 4 of them

If i run them on a stock head unit should i be ok for now. I dont want to change the head unit untill i get a new car. (trying to save gas and use my L less so that their is less of a chance of a break in)

They sound good with the factory head, far cleaner than the OEM's, but your not going to win any bass contests, maybe a few feet of dynomat would help in the dept., let me make this clear as well-I like solid, clean, sharp bass-loud but not rattle your teeth out-muddy bass, a small sub sealed with a few hundred watt's would really help out, but thats a nice upgrade later.

i wouldn't even bother with the "rear" speakers. You'll get much better sound by investing twice as much in the fronts, and leaving the stock rears or even disco'ing them, IMHO..

+1 I have a five channel amp pushing Infinity components up front, Infinity 5x7's rear (went Infinity as crutchfield was running a half price closeout), MTX Thunderform bass. After a couple years, I ended up bridging the amp into 2 channels for just the fronts, and keeping the bass channel. It sounded way better getting more power to the components and ditching the muffled rears. I kept the head unit as you are wanting to do, and just used the speaker level inputs. I highly recommend picking up a $150 5 channel amp (like 45 RMS x 4 and 150 RMS x 1) and doing the same. It won't win any competitions, but has satisfied me for 7 years and is WAY better than stock. And it looks factory besides the tweets up by the rear view mirrors.

check out the memphis 5 x 7's. They fit great and sound awsome. I ended up putting a new dvd player (double din of course) and they make them sound that much better. Next up is a set of memphis mojo subs and amp.

Anything will sound better than the cheap Chinese sourced paper speakers that came with our trucks. The deck is plain awful is the power level isn't the real issue. The cheapest Kia has a system that sounds 10X better than our stock system.

The thrash can is the best place for it.
