I saw two Imps at Milan Dragway last year at SLP's Customer Appreciation Day just after I sold my 97 Anniversary SS. I had my Red L there amongst about a hundred F-bodys. One Imp did a mid to high 12; the other was doing rock bottom 13's. They can be made quick.

one of the mags did a story on 3 different stages of ImpSS. the fastest had a 600ci engine with a marine blower. they put 4- 250lb salesmen in it, rolled up the windows, cranked up the A/C, and turned an 11 sec 1/4

I traded in my 94 SS for the Lighting. the SS is one of the best road cars out there.stock they are not that fast. BUT I do know of one out of sacramento that runs a 396cu LT1 it runs 12.3 on the motor and 11.3 at 120mph on the nos.thats at 4200lb and the baby seat in back...

Thanks for clearing me up!

BfB....common mistake. I understood what you were trying to say. Usually I just say Flywheel horsepower. Hope that helps. Some people are very flame happy around here

And these amazing and endearing qualities of the Oldsmobile is why GM is just shutting down the division?

I have a '94 OLDmobile in my driveway at this moment. Only 28k miles, and I'll sell it to you, cheap. With a new motor, a turbo, better brakes, improved suspension and a new set of tires it could be a 14 second car.

Hehehe.

Hey Baddog---youre right, olds is closing down and I will be happy to take that 'obsolete' car off your hands for 25, the price of air in one of your tires. LOL j/k I like Lightning, but I like gm better. Wait till Moss brings out the bolt killer....soon!!!!!!!!

gmman, and then you woke up. Seriously, the L is in its third model year. GM is one slug of a company. Have you noticed their declining market share? They can't re-act to save their life. Pleasant dreams.
