Post New F1s?

I hear talk of new F1s that people have? Did Goodyear redesign for the 2k1 Ls?
So, if I buy F1s from Tirerack, am I getting the new design?

I bought 2 F-1's 3 months ago from Tirerack for my 99 Lightning before I traded it in. The tires are sitting in the living room and they are the same as the ones on my 01. They have a tread wear rating of 300, so I believe they have the same compound.

Yes, Tirerack is selling the "new" 300 wear rated F1s. (They were 320 wear rated).

CBQB3,
Hey, saw your post and wanted to add something. I bought 2 new F1's yesterday from tirerack.com and when I took them to discount tire to get them mounted they said they could match the price of the tires and not have to pay for the mounting and balancing, so what I am saying is you might want to check with a local tire person. It would have saved me:

50.00 - Dismounting, Mounting, and balancing
15.00 - Shipping

Just thought I would let you know, I wish I knew this the day before yesterday.

Discount Tire of Tejas depending of location might match Tire Rack...they never have for me so far! They just roll their eyes...and I just have them mount them for 50.00...but their lifetime balancing for about 40.00 bucks..and buy certificates just in case I screw one of them up...they seem happy about this...this is actually where they make their money...on add ons....an old retail trick....the Tire Rack must depend on high volume distribution to allow those prices....just my .02
