Backspacing is the amount of space between the rim mount point and the inside edge of the rim. It won't have much to do with your alignment since it is similar to stock.

Upgraded brake calipers are larger then the stock ones, and in the 1999/2000 wheels, there isn't enough space between the caliper and the spokes on the rim (due to the backspacing). I was seeing if the 20" rims had similar spacing or not to see if they would hold the upgraded brakes without modification.

Just thought I would put up the Silver clear photo just in case someone might want to compare it to the chrome 20. later 95rcobra.
